Young Latin America Speaks out on United States Presidential Election

This post comes as a follow-up to the last one on the affect of the U.S. Presidential elections in Peru and throughout Latin America.

The López Rafaschieri twins believe that the election of Barack Obama into office will negatively affect the radical Lefts in Latin America. (Is that a bad thing?)

Despite the fact that Obama is everything the Leftists are hoping for (mainly he is not a neoconservative, nor McCain) the Twins claim that he will oppose the Latin American radical Left in a different way, that will be just as detrimental. Obama or McCain… Which is Better for Peru?

From May to September 2008 Gallup Polls conducted surveys in 70 countries to see who the world preferred to see elected into the Presidential office in the United States. Obama received overwhelming support, being the preferred candidate by a ratio of nearly 4-1.

So what about Peru? Well, as the chart shows, 31% of all who were polled felt that Obama was the better choice, while 11% preferred to see McCain elected into office. The majority, however, didn’t know which United States President would be better for their country. (Which sounds a lot like the way people in the States are feeling as well.)

Ever since 2006 when Peru had the best stock market performance in the world, with an amazing gain of 182 per cent, Peru has been receiving more and more attention by the media for its business prospects. The Gold of Peru Museum

The Gold of Peru Museum (Museo de Oro del Peru) is a privately operated museum that has some of the most exquisite pieces of ancient Peruvian art in the world. They have on display gold, ceramic, and textile masterpieces such as funerary masks, scepters, ceremonial cups, monumental necklaces, nose rings, earrings, and idols made of gold and semi precious stones.
