This post comes as a follow-up to the last one on the affect of the U.S. Presidential elections in Peru and throughout Latin America.
The López Rafaschieri twins believe that the election of Barack Obama into office will negatively affect the radical Lefts in Latin America. (Is that a bad thing?)
Despite the fact that Obama is everything the Leftists are hoping for (mainly he is not a neoconservative, nor McCain) the Twins claim that he will oppose the Latin American radical Left in a different way, that will be just as detrimental. It would mean their being criticized by someone who was able to rise above extreme obstacles and achieve his goals in a democratic environment.
I thought that the outlook of these young twin brothers from Venezuela on the political situation in the United States might be of interest to other readers. They provide an interesting insiders look at the outside world from Venezuela. You can catch their blog by clicking here.
The Gringo does not necessarily agree with any statements found on the López Rafaschieri twins’ blog. The link is merely provided for interesting reading.
