La Rosa Nautica is practically famous in Lima, set on Pier 4 of the Lima Beach Circuit. The view is incredible and the food is excellent,
with both Peruvian and International fare to choose from.
As with every restaurant with a lot of hype, La Rosa sometimes finds it hard to live up to ever diner’s expectations. I have heard the complaints, especially from those who are on pre-paid tour packages, but all in all, the satisfaction among patrons is overwhelming.
La Rosa offers outdoor seating, and is child-friendly, but generally attracts the older crowd for business and pleasure. The day offers an amazing view out into the Pacific Ocean, but the best time bar far to come is at dusk, when the last sunlight of the day is illuminating the water. What starts off as a beautiful view, turns into a romantic sunset, which is the perfect segway to enjoy the brilliant bar and night life.
The menu is extensive, as is the wine list. The Grand Tasting Menu allows you to sample 4 starters, 4 main dishes, and 4 puddings, making it a wise choice for the indecisive soul.
I consider the restaurant a must do for anyone visiting Miraflores in Lima. Make sure you call ahead for a reservation, and
specify that you want a table with a view of the ocean. The crashing waves ride alongside your table make the dining experience that much more pleasurable. You can actually make reservations online by clicking here.
Make sure to dress up! It is appreciated and does not go unnoticed. Special events are held from time to time in the Event Room. La Rosa has 4 dining rooms and a very nice bar.
Take a look at the La Rosa Nautica web-site to get the whole story, including a menu and more.
